With the weather taking a turn for the worse, we decided to brighten up the day with some coloured stained glass windows made from tissue paper and card.
This is probably the easiest thing to do in the world to brighten up a room and the mood. As my boys are so young I ended up doing most of the work, but they were entertained for the whole time.
I pretty much free-styled the whole way through this, which you’d never guess, but for a more finished product you may want to sketch out a pattern on the card in advance.
Select your preferred colour scheme, and stick away. If you have a specific pattern, make sure to turn the stencil over so that it will look right when you put it on the window. I used a Pritt Stick to stick the paper to the card to try and avoid any mess, and have a little bit of control as to where the glue ended up. Being very preoccupied with ensuring the knife was kept out of the hands of the boys, I took my eye off the ball with the glue, and its amazing how much mess a Pritt Stick can actually make!
